Graduate Teacher Internship – Starting September 2025
Location: Stockport | Salary: £2100 per month

If so, Teaching Personnel’s Graduate Teacher Internship Programme is the perfect opportunity to take your first steps in education. This 12-month, full-time position allows you to gain invaluable classroom experience as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, preparing you for a successful transition into teacher training.
What is the Graduate Teacher Internship Programme?
This initiative, part of our Future Teachers Programme, aims to address teacher shortages by supporting bright, motivated graduates who are interested in teaching but want to experience school life before committing to teacher training.
What’s Involved?
Starting in September 2025, successful applicants will be placed in a Stockport-based secondary school where you’ll work full-time supporting pupils and staff in your subject area. Responsibilities include:
Assisting within your subject department
Supporting pupils with additional needs
Delivering small group interventions
Covering lessons and helping with classroom planning
Gaining hands-on insight into the daily role of a teacher
Who Can Apply?
We’re looking for:
Final-year undergraduates (graduating in 2025) or recent graduates
Individuals passionate about becoming secondary school teachers
Applicants from any subject background – particularly Maths, English, Science, as well as Humanities, PE, and MFL

End Date: July 2026
Location: Stockport
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:15 AM – 3:00 PM
Salary: £2100 per month (paid role)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
