Horizon Teachers are working alongside an OFSTED rated Good’ graded all-boys secondary school in Camden to find a new Secondary Teaching Assistant. This school is searching for an enthusiastic and ambitious Graduate Teaching Assistant to help and encourage students across a range of subjects and year groups. They outperform national averages for boys by 10-20% across all key subjects!

This role is set to start before the Summer Holidays, continuing into September and will last the duration of the whole upcoming academic year.

The nature of this Teaching Assistant job requires you to provide support to teachers by helping to prepare classrooms and assisting with lesson delivery, and to support student progress – both academically and socially.

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting children of any age
  • Degree-educated
  • Competent in both GCSE English and Maths
  • Enthusiastic and an ability to create good relationships with pupils
  • Able to work 1:1 and within small groups of children confidently
  • Able to assist the class teacher with classroom preparation
