Pay rate: £90 – £100 per day

About the Role:

Are you a recent graduate with a passion for education and a desire to inspire the next generations?

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant secondary school in Brent. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a school environment, working closely with the science department to support the delivery of engaging and effective lessons.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Classroom Support: Assist teachers in the preparation and delivery of lessons across KS3 and KS4, ensuring students are fully engaged and supported in their learning.
  • Individual and Group Support: Provide tailored support to students, both in small groups and on a one-to-one basis, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their potential.
  • Resource Management: Help to organise and maintain equipment and resources, ensuring that all materials are prepared and available for lessons.
  • Student Progress: Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and contributing to student assessments.
  • Enrichment Activities: Support the development and delivery of extracurricular activities, such as clubs, workshops, and field trips.

About You:

  • Graduate: A degree in a science, arts, maths, humanities or languages is preferred.
  • Passionate: A strong interest in education and a desire to inspire young people.
  • Organised: Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Communicative: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and students.
  • Desirable: Previous experience working with young people, either in a teaching, tutoring, or mentoring capacity, would be advantageous but is not essential.
