Job Title: Grounds Maintenance Operative
Location: Based at Stratford Park, Stroud GL5 4AF (working across various sites in the district)
Pay Rate: £13.05 – £19.57 per hour (based on experience and grading)
Hours: 37 hours per week
Monday–Thursday: 07:00 – 15:00
Friday: 07:00 – 14:30
(Start and end your day at Stratford Park)
Contract: Seasonal, with the potential for a permanent position for the right candidate

About the Role:
We’re looking for Grounds Maintenance Operatives to join busy teams working across green spaces, parks, and outdoor public areas throughout the district. You’ll be based out of Stratford Park, returning there daily, and work in teams of 3–4.
Key Responsibilities:
Mowing, trimming, and general grounds upkeep
Planting and maintaining trees, shrubs, and flower beds
Bin emptying, leaf clearance, and general site cleanliness
Winter duties including snow and ice clearing
Operating a range of hand tools and machinery
Optional driving duties (Transit-style vans), if you hold a valid licence
What We’re Looking For:
A strong work ethic and team-first attitude
Basic horticultural or grounds knowledge
Willingness to work outdoors in all weather
Ability to follow instructions and work safely
A driving licence is helpful, but not essential
