Our clients based in Belfast and Newtownabbey are currently hiring HGV Class 2 Drivers and 7.5 Tonne Drivers to assist with holiday & long term sick. Position: HGV Class 2 Drivers Location: Belfast/ Newtownabbey Pay Rate: £13.00 – £15.67 per hour Hours Available: Monday to Friday- 8am to Finish Key Responsibilities: Complete daily safety checks of vehicle and refrigeration unit Check and scan all consignments Deliver consignments on an accurate and timely basis ensuring products stay within the required temperature range Ensure that records of deliveries are electronically captured and driver manifests are completed Maintain daily communications to provide service updates Demonstrate professional and safe driving competency at all times Present a smart working appearance at all times Essential Criteria: Must be available for holiday/ sick cover A minimum of 1 year’s driving experience Must hold a category C driving licence (ideally no more than 3 points) Valid Drivers CPC & Digital Tachograph Previous multi-drop experience advantageous Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to build effective working relationships with customers/clients, whilst appreciating the need for maintaining confidentiality Good organisation skills with the ability to prioritise Ashton Recruitment is acting as an employment business.
