Job Title: Hygiene Team Leader
Location: Loanhead Edinburgh
Salary: £28,470 (£14.60 per hour)
Contract Type: Temp to perm
Shift Pattern: 10am 6pm Tuesday to Saturday
About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and dedicated Hygiene Team Leader to join our prestigious client and take responsibility for ensuring high standards of cleanliness and sanitation across the facility. You will lead a small team of hygiene operatives, ensuring all tasks are completed to schedule and in compliance with company standards, health & safety regulations, and industry requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise, motivate, and support the hygiene team in day-to-day operations
- Ensure thorough cleaning of all designated areas, equipment, and surfaces
- Develop and maintain cleaning schedules, checklists, and hygiene records
- Train team members on hygiene procedures and health & safety practices
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and internal policies (e.g., COSHH, HACCP, etc.)
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a hygiene or cleaning supervisory role (ideally in food production)
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Understanding of cleaning chemicals and COSHH regulations
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work flexibly
- Relevant hygiene/cleaning qualifications are an advantage
