The Opportunity:
If you are a Junior Graphic Designer with experience using Adobe InDesign and Illustrator the please read on. This role is actually for a Junior Technical Author, which will call upon your excellent design skills, but also your ability to understand technical, engineering information. You will create visuals within brochures, instruction manuals and marketing material using your Graphic Design abilities.
Job Responsibilities:
- The work will not only cover the instructions for the entire range of products but will include packaging artwork and label creation, setting up of documents and checking the accuracy of the details before publishing it on the internal system, the internet and out to the public.
- Writing and maintaining the technical instructions to a high standard, across the company in clear, concise English in line with the existing in-house style in a timely fashion.
- Aid with the creation and translation of the technical instructions to a high standard, across numerous languages.
- Aid with ensuring all information is readily available on Public Drives, websites and printing resources for internal and external customers.
- Creation of Packaging and label artwork required for all markets.
- Working Monday to Friday, based in our Exeter office.
Required Skills:
- Proven competence in the use of Adobe desktop publishing software to include Indesign, Illustrator and Photoshop is essential.
- Basic ability in the use of Microsoft office is also desirable, in particular, Word and Excel.
- Ability to proofread documentation to ensure the quality of the content and work with other departments to ensure the content is factually correct.
