About the role:
Do you have a flair for supporting children who are learning English as an additional language (EAL)? If so, we want YOU to join our welcoming and dynamic school community in Finchley, London! This exciting part-time, ongoing role will see you working closely with our enthusiastic Key Stage 2 pupils, many of whom are learning English as an additional language. You’ll play a vital role in their educational journey, offering tailored support, interventions, and confidence-boosting activities to help them thrive academically and socially.
Application Requirements:
• Experience working with children in a school setting, especially Key Stage 2.
• A passion for working with EAL learners and an understanding of their unique needs.
• Enthusiasm, patience, and adaptability to inspire young minds.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support EAL pupils with language development and comprehension.
• Assist in creating engaging learning materials for booster and intervention sessions.
• Work collaboratively with teachers to implement personalized learning plans.
• Encourage pupils to develop independence and a love for learning.
• Create a nurturing environment that celebrates the rich diversity of our students.
