Start Date: March (until the end of the academic year)

Salary: £83 – £87 per day

About the Role:
We are working on behalf of a fantastic school in Angmering to recruit an enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to join their Year 1 class. This full-time, term-time position starts in March and runs until the end of the academic year.

The role will involve supporting the Year 1 teacher with general classroom activities, as well as running smaller group sessions (4-5 pupils) focused on subjects like Maths or English. The school is committed to providing exciting, creative, and meaningful learning experiences, so the ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm and fresh ideas to help engage and inspire students.

Key Responsibilities:

Support classroom activities across all subjects
Lead small group sessions in Maths, English, and other areas
Assist with the delivery of the KS1 curriculum
Foster an engaging, creative, and positive learning environment
Requirements:

Previous experience working with primary-aged children
Knowledge of the KS1 curriculum
Enthusiastic, creative, and passionate about supporting young learners
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work effectively with both the teacher and students in a Year 1 class
