About the role: We are seeking a passionate and committed KS1 Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a thriving and welcoming primary school in Islington, London. Application Requirements: We are looking for candidates who:
• Hold a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
• Have experience working with KS1 pupils, ideally in boosters, interventions, or SEN support.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Are patient, nurturing, and dedicated to creating a positive learning environment.
• Have a valid DBS certificate or are willing to undergo one.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support students in boosters and interventions, helping them catch up with the curriculum.
• Work 1:1 or in small groups to assist pupils with SEN or those needing additional support.
• Collaborate with the class teacher to plan and deliver engaging learning activities.
• Foster a safe and inclusive environment where every child feels valued.
• Assist with classroom management, ensuring all children remain focused and engaged.
