A mainstream primary school in Coventry is seeking an experienced and adaptable Teaching Assistant to join their team, providing essential support in their Year 1 class. This supply role is available immediately and could extend until Christmas or beyond for the right candidate.
The Year 1 class has a diverse range of needs, and the school is looking for someone who can support children at varying levels, ensuring all pupils are engaged and achieving their potential. What We’re Looking For:

Qualifications and Experience:
* Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or 3 preferred).
* Experience supporting pupils in a primary school setting, ideally in Year 1 or Key Stage 1.

Key Skills and Responsibilities:
* Provide tailored support to children requiring additional help, helping them access the curriculum and develop confidence.
* Assist the class teacher with day-to-day activities and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
* Work closely with staff to support children’s social, emotional, and academic progress.
* Adapt quickly to classroom dynamics, addressing challenges with patience and creativity.

Additional Skills (Desirable):
* Experience working with children with SEND is preferable but not essential.
* A proactive, team-oriented approach and a passion for supporting young learners.
