SEN Teaching/Learning Support Assistant Required in Brixton (South London) – Immediate Start

Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting for an experienced SEN Teaching/Learning Support Assistant to join an Ofsted OUTSTANDING Special School (age 9 – 19) in the Brixton area, who specialise in supporting students with needs including Autism, Speech Language and Communication difficulties.

The position will involve providing classroom support to students in small groups and on a 1:1 basis, this will be a part-time, long-term position starting immediately.

Daily Rate: GBP100
Location: Brixton Hill (SW2)
Contract Type: 2 – 3 days a week (Part-Time)
Start Date: Immediate
Duration: Long Term

The successful applicants will have:
· Previous experience working with Autism, Speech Language and Communication difficulties.
· Previous experience managing challenging behavior.
· Ideally experience working with children and/or young people.
· Valid and enhanced child or child and adult DBS check.

The role will consist of:
· Offering support to the class teacher.
· Provide support for individuals and groups of pupils, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.
· Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans.
· Building good student – teacher rapport.
