Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children and young people with special educational needs (SEN)? Teaching Personnel is seeking dedicated Learning Support Assistants to work in a specialist SEN school in Ystrad Mynach. This school supports pupils aged 3 to 19 with a range of needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Down’s syndrome, and cerebral palsy.
About the Role:
Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to students with SEN
Assist teachers in delivering engaging, sensory-based, and structured lessons
Support pupils with their communication, social, and emotional development
Help students with personal care needs (if required)
Work closely with therapists, teachers, and families to create a nurturing learning environment
What We’re Looking For:
✔️ Experience working with children or young people (SEN experience desirable but not essential)
✔️ A patient, caring, and proactive approach to learning support
✔️ Strong communication and teamwork skills
✔️ A valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
✔️ Right to work in the UK
