Learning Support Classroom Assistant
Salary: £85-£100 per day
32.5 hours per week (Term time only)
Start Date: ASAP
This role as Teaching Assistant is ideal for a graduate interested in a career as a teacher.Many of our previous post holders have utilised the post to develop experience in the education sector before progressing to PGCE courses, educational psychology and working with educational charities.
The successful candidate will work alongside and under the guidance of the SENCo and will be required to support individual students and small groups.This exciting and rewarding role requires someone who is patient, flexible, adaptable, a team player and who is also able to show initiative, both in the class situation and with groups/individuals.
Our school is a popular and highly successful non-selective 11-18 school that is federated with three local primary schools, based in Lewisham and Bromley.We have approximately 1,000 students on roll, including a mixed sixth form.
Results at GCSE and in the Sixth Form are significantly above national averages and the school was graded Good with Outstanding Leadership & Management in its most recent Ofsted inspection (March 2018).
