The Creative Industries School at Kingston College are seeking a dynamic, proactive, highly organised individual able to teach fashion construction, techniques and processes. Youll deliver exciting and industry relevant skills and knowledge to students on our popular practical vocational courses.

As our Fashion Construction Lecturer, youll be familiar with relevant machines and tools, and support the safe use of these in classrooms and specialist workshops. Youll also possess a broad understanding of past, current, and future design trends and be able to support students in developing advanced specialist skills and understanding.

Wed like you to hold a degree or professional qualification in an area relevant to fashion sewing, pattern-cutting and construction, hold a teaching qualification (or willing to work towards), and be recognised as a good or outstanding teacher. Youll have experience of effectively monitoring and supporting learners to achieve or exceed their potential with a strong commitment to personalised learning, equality and diversity, and safeguarding.

With a good understanding of applicable Health and Safety procedures and practices in classrooms and workshops, youll have good industry knowledge to support work experience and industry placements that are integral to the Study Programme offer.

The successful candidate will be eligible for any increase in salary as a consequence of the annual cost of living review that will be implemented in the new academic year.
