Loading Shovel Driver

Job Title: Loading Shovel Operator -Nights

Location: Ridham, Sittingbourne, Kent

Salary: £15 – £15.50 per hour

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time (55 hours per week on a rota basis Monday – Sunday) – Overtimeavailable

Main Functions:

Operate fixed and mobile plant to process recyclable materials, minimising waste to landfill.

Main Duties:

Load the shredder in the Material Recycling Facility (MRF).

Mix and load shredded material onto baler infeed conveyors.

Load lorries and stack materials around the site.

Perform maintenance on machines, including checks, refueling, lubrication, greasing, and washing.

Ensure safe and efficient operation of the site at all times.

Maintain a tidy working area and clear access to walkways and emergency exits.

Use appropriate safety equipment and PPE at all times.

Report any contamination, accidents, incidents, and health & safety breaches.

Undertake training for other tasks, including operating other plant and equipment.

Assist with manual handling and other operational duties as needed.

Experience with shredders, shovels, wheeled and tracked 360’s, telehandler, clamp trucks, scissor lift/cherry picker
