The Role:
We are seeking a committed and experienced Learning Support Assistant (LSA) or Teaching Assistant (TA) to join The Skills Hub, a co-educational Alternative Provision supporting pupils aged 11-16 who cannot attend mainstream school. Many of the students are at risk of, or have experienced, permanent exclusion, so strong behaviour management skills are essential.

This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people who need guidance, support, and consistency.

Key Responsibilities:

Support classroom teachers in planning and resource preparation

Promote pupil engagement and independence in learning

Manage behaviour effectively and support SEMH needs

Encourage inclusion across all aspects of school life

Deliver tailored support to help students thrive academically and emotionally

Ideal Candidate:
✅ Experience in SEMH/Alternative Provision settings
✅ Confident with behaviour management strategies
✅ Background in PSHE or Music (preferred but not essential)
✅ Calm, resilient, and proactive approach
✅ Passionate about pupil welfare and inclusive education
