A welcoming school in Bristol is looking for a Mental Health Assistant to join their team ASAP. They are seeking a candidate with a background in Psychology or experience supporting children with ASD, ADHD, or SEN. As a Mental Health Assistant, you will be an integral part of a supportive team, working closely with students and helping them thrive.
The role involves supporting KS1 and KS2 pupils with SEMH needs, ASD and ADHD, alongside small groups with complex needs.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting children’s behaviour and learning in the classroom
- Assisting children with understanding the teacher’s instructions
- Working 1:1 with students or in small groups in the Learning Support department
- Monitoring and recording pupil progress
