Key Responsibilities – Mental Health Support Assistant:
- Support Primary Teachers during classes, providing additional help to all students as needed
- Deliver targeted 1:1 support to students with SEMH challenges
- Adapt teaching styles and modify the curriculum to accommodate individual learning needs
- Work closely with students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health issues to build confidence and engagement
- Contribute positively to the school’s compassionate and inclusive ethos
Requirements – Mental Health Support Assistant:
- Minimum 2:1 degree from a Russell Group university
- Experience working with children with learning difficulties or special needs
- Passion for supporting SEMH students and an empathetic, patient approach
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to developing student wellbeing
Role Details:
- Location: Hackney, London
- Start Date: Immediate
- Contract: Full-time, long-term until July 2025
- Pay: £96-£105 per day (via PAYE, holiday pay included)
