Description

As a Teacher of Music and Art, you will have the unique opportunity to inspire students across two creative disciplines. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons that cover a wide range of artistic techniques and musical skills, helping students develop their talents and appreciation for the arts. Key Responsibilities:

* Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons in Music and Art for Key Stage 3, 4, and 5 students.

* Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity and self-expression.

* Teach a variety of musical styles and techniques, including performance, theory, and music history.

* Deliver engaging visual arts lessons, covering various mediums such as painting, drawing, sculpture, and digital art.

* Organize and lead extracurricular activities, such as school concerts, art exhibitions, and music clubs.

* Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.

* Collaborate with other teachers and departments to integrate arts across the curriculum.

* Maintain and manage classroom resources, including musical instruments, art supplies, and digital tools.

* Encourage student participation in school and community events related to music and art.

Qualifications and Experience:

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

* Experience teaching Music and/or Art, ideally across different year groups.

* Strong subject knowledge in both disciplines, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.

* Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and colleagues.

* Passion for arts education and a commitment to fostering creativity in students.

Desirable:

* Experience in organizing school concerts, art exhibitions, or other creative events.

* Proficiency in using digital art tools, music software, or other creative technologies.

* Knowledge of diverse musical genres and contemporary art practices
