We are seeking a passionate and motivated Network Engineer Level 4 Apprentice to join our dynamic team. This apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience with network equipment, customer installations, and troubleshooting tools in a supportive environment. As an apprentice, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and technical support.
In this role, youll work towards yourLevel 4 Network Engineer Apprenticeship,delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the configuration of network equipment, including switches, in alignment with customer specifications.
- Participate in customer installations and provide on-site support during physical setups.
- Utilise troubleshooting tools such as Ping, nslookup, traceroute, netstat, ifconfig, ip a, iftop, and nfsstat to diagnose and resolve network issues.
- Provide customer and client support via helpdesk, ensuring timely and effective resolution of inquiries.
- Work towards meeting Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for response and resolution times.
- Continuously learn and develop technical skills related to networking and high-performance computing.
Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.
Desired Skills and Knowledge:
- A strong passion for IT and technology.
- Some prior experience in IT support or a related field is preferred.
- Hardworking attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt.
- Relevant IT qualifications (e.g., CompTIA, Cisco, etc.) would be advantageous but are not mandatory.
- GCSE Grade 5 in English and grade 4 in Maths is required for this role
Salary, Hours and Benefits:
- £18,000 per annum
- Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM (1-hour lunch break)
