Night Support Assistant
We currently have multiple Night Assistant Vacancies in the following area: Camden, Hackney, Kings Cross, Greenwich and Islington
Please be aware there will be Interviews and an Assessment Day in Camden on the following dates: 24th, 25th and 26th February.
Position: Night Support Assistant
Location: Camden, London
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (8:45pm – 8:15am)
Salary: £26,937 per annum
Contract: Permanent
We are looking for someone to start in this role as soon as possible, we reserve the right to close the role early should a suitable candidate be found.
The difference you’ll make
Working collaboratively as part of a committed team to deliver an outstanding service during the night. You will assist the support team in putting customers first and empowering them to achieve their goals and aspirations which will include a range of tasks that contribute to the safe and effective delivery of the day-to-day service.
The role
In this role you will use Psychologically Informed and Trauma-Informed Care approaches to support customers in making positive choices and achieving independence by:
* Assisting with personalized support plans, risk management, and tenancy-related matters.
* Motivating customers to develop life skills and access employment, education, and training opportunities.
* Connecting customers to external services, such as food banks and healthcare providers.
* Supporting financial independence through budgeting and income maximization.
* Promoting tenancy readiness and enabling successful move-on.
* Contributing to housing management, including income collection and maintaining a safe environment.
* Handling administrative duties, financial records, and reporting requirements.
* Working flexibly, ensuring customer safety, and adhering to company policies and procedures.
About you:
We are looking for someone with:
* An understanding of the barriers faced by vulnerable and diverse customer groups and individuals with complex needs including personal experience of homelessness, rough sleeping, mental health issues or substance misuse
* Experience of working in a team and communicating positively with other people
* Ability to organise tasks and plan accordingly whilst dealing with people
* Basic administrative and IT skills maintain records
* Experience of working with vulnerable and diverse customer groups or individuals with complex needs would be an advantage
