Contract: Full-time, Term-time only
Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual with experience in supporting students’ learning? We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a lovely mainstream primary school in Cambridge.

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with a specific student, providing tailored support to meet their individual learning needs. Your role will be to assist the student both inside and outside the classroom, ensuring they have access to a full and inclusive education.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 support to a student with specific learning needs
Support the student’s academic, social, and emotional development
Assist with classroom activities, following the teacher’s guidance
Help with the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs)
Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment
Monitor and track the student’s progress and report any concerns to the class teacher
Support the student with their personal care needs (if required)
Work collaboratively with the class teacher and other staff to ensure the student’s successAbout You:
We are looking for someone who:
Has prior experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role
Has a strong understanding of supporting children with special educational needs (SEN)
Demonstrates excellent communication skills and patience
Is proactive, adaptable, and able to work on their own initiative
Holds relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent)
Has an understanding of safeguarding and child protection proceduresWhat We Offer:
