The Job:
This role is working directly under the supervision of the Headteacher’s Personal Assistant, providing full secretarial and administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team.
Key Responsibilities:
* To provide a full secretarial and administrative support service to all staff, including the Senior Leadership Team, to ensure the efficient operation of the school, typing confidential correspondence, preparing agendas, taking minutes for meetings and producing action lists.
* To liaise and correspond as necessary with staff, governors, parents, carers and students regarding school communications.
* To project manage the production of annual booklets, programmes and reports for students and staff
* Programmes and curriculum updates for the school website.
* To manage and maintain the school’s main email account.
* To book internal meeting rooms as required.
* To book the school mini-bus as required.
* To order badges, trophies and stationery.
* To type and send letters and Google Forms regarding school trips and parents’ evenings.
* To administer all aspects of Work Experience for Year 10, providing full administrative support to the Assistant Headteacher responsible.
* To assist the Headteacher’s PA with correspondence including, but not limited to, assisting with the weekly newsletter, trips and events, parent portals and the school website.
* To administer all aspects of Prize-giving, providing a full secretarial and administrative support to the Assistant Headteacher in charge, collecting nominations, liaising with prize-winners and ensuring all awards are returned and engraved.
* To attend Prize-giving and Open Evening to assist in the smooth running of these events.
* To administer all aspects of Transition, liaising with relevant school staff and those at the primary schools, ensuring that all documentation is correct and sent out on time
About You:
* Applicants must possess a minimum of three GCSEs or equivalent, one of which must be English/literacy.
* Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
* To be organised and plan ahead
* A positive role model for students and staff
* Able to work as part of a team and individually
Salary:
This post is offered on the basis of term time only plus all INSET days
£21,981 to £22,331 (actual) based on £25,584 to £25,992 full time equivalent
Hours:
37 hours per week
Monday to Friday with the option of working 8.00am – 4.00pm or 8.30am to 4.30pm
Able to work opening days which will fall outside normal working hours
