Taking Flight Theatre are looking for new Trustees to join their committed and active board.Closing date for applications is the 3rd of February 2025Chat to a trustee event: 20th JanuaryAll Meet a trustee events, meetings and interviews will have BSL/Eng interpreters as standard.Trustees meet about six times a year via zoomTaking Flight is an inclusive theatre company based in Cardiff, making professional productions with Deaf, disabled, blind / partially sighted, neurodivergent and non- disabled performers. We work within three languages: BSL, Welsh and English, and all our work features embedded access, such as captions and Audio Description. We run Wales’s only youth theatre for Deaf and Hard of hearing young people and we’re a recent recipient of multi-year funding agreement with Arts Council of Wales, so it’s an exciting time to get involved with our work!A trustee is a person who takes care of the work of a charity, making sure it meets its charitable aims and carries out everything it does in a legal and professional way.Trustees have meetings every few months to check on, plan and discuss the work of the charity.Trustees do not get paid for being trustees, but they do get expenses for any travel etc.We currently have 9 trustees on the Taking Flight board including two co-chairs and we are looking for the right person to take us forward.We actively encourage Deaf and disabled applicants.
