Pallet Operative with FLT
Rotherham
Salary: £25,000
Shift Pattern: Early Days (Monday – Friday)
Monday – Thursday 06:00 – 14:30 and Friday 05:00 – 13:00 with an hour unpaid lunch break.
Main Areas of Responsibility:
Off-loading of incoming pallets from customers
Loading of scrap and repair pallets to pallet supplier
Cleaning and checking pallets for production readiness
Monitoring pallet stocks to ensure sufficient supply for production
Liaising with the distribution manager on pallet stock levels
General housekeeping
Achieving departmental targets as required
Performing other reasonable duties as requested
Knowledge/Skills:
Experience of working with FLT (essential)
Experience with a 4-pallet handler (desirable)
Prior experience working in a warehouse environment (preferably external)
Motivated, professional, with a results-driven and customer-focused approach
Strong attention to detail
Ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Self-resilient and able to work independently
Excellent interpersonal skills
Basic problem-solving ability

Qualifications/Training:
Valid external forklift license
Numerate and literate (GCSE or equivalent)
PC literate (desirable)
