Description
An Outstanding primary school in Salford is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on a part time basis. This inclusive and welcoming three-form entry school boasts excellent SEN resources, including a specialist on-site unit and access to therapy services.
You will work closely with a child with Autism on a 1:1 basis, supporting their communication and learning. The school is highly regarded for its supportive staff, professional development opportunities, and strong links to the local community.
Role Responsibilities:
Provide targeted support to pupils with autism needs
Assist with implementing strategies recommended by speech therapists and SENCO
Support pupils’ learning in class and during small intervention sessions
Build positive relationships with pupils to enhance their confidence and engagementRequirements:
Previous experience working with pupils with SEN, particularly autism needs
Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach
Available Part Time – Mornings only, 5 days a week
