A well-established business based in Hull is looking to recruit a Payroll professional to join their team on a permanent basis. On offer is a competitive salary of £28,000 – £32,000, along with a range of employee benefits and development opportunities.

As a Payroll professional, you will be responsible for:

Accurately processing end-to-end payroll for a diverse workforce on a weekly and monthly basis

Ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations, pensions auto-enrolment, and statutory deductions

Managing starters, leavers, holiday pay, sick pay, and maternity/paternity pay

Liaising with managers and employees to resolve payroll queries in a timely and professional manner

Keeping up to date with payroll legislation and implementing necessary changes

Supporting year-end processes, including P60s and P11Ds

Maintaining confidential employee records and producing reports as required

To thrive in this Payroll role, you will ideally have:

Previous experience in a similar payroll position, managing end-to-end payroll cycles

A solid understanding of current payroll legislation and statutory requirements

Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work

Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel and payroll software (e.g., Sage, BrightPay, or similar)

A proactive attitude and the ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment

This fantastic opportunity is easily commutable from Beverley, Hessle, Cottingham, Brough, Hedon, and surrounding East Yorkshire areas. The office offers on-site parking and is accessible by public transport with good local links.
