Job Opportunity: Personal Care Assistant (Full-Time / Part-Time)
Location: Arnold, Nottingham
Pay: £13 per hour
Weekly Hours: 30
Shift pattern: Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM 4:00 PM
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Personal Care Assistant to support a warm and friendly individual living with Stage 3 Multiple Myeloma and other mobility challenges. This role combines personal care, household support, and companionship in a respectful home environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with personal hygiene and mobility as needed
- Manage medication schedules and liaise with healthcare providers
- Provide transport to appointments and run errands
- Help with light housekeeping and meal preparation
- Offer emotional support and companionship
Requirements:
- Experience in personal care and medication support
- Confident with mobility assistance and personal hygiene tasks
- Organised, trustworthy, and attentive to detail
- Culturally sensitive, especially towards Afro-Caribbean traditions
Desirable:
- Experience with cancer or chronic illness care
- Basic first aid training
- Knowledge of local support services
- Valid UK driving licence
