About the Role:

Career Teachers is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Phonics Teaching Assistant to join our team in the City of Derby. This is a fantastic opportunity to support young learners in developing their phonics skills, laying the foundation for their future reading and writing success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide targeted phonics support to students.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of phonics lessons and activities.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Create a positive and engaging learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to support student development.
  • Participate in school activities and events.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children in a phonics-focused role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a commitment to supporting student success.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in phonics instruction (preferred but not essential).
