We working on behalf of our client who is currently recruiting for a skilled and detail-oriented Powder Coater to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fabrication and mechanical processes, with the ability to work effectively in a manufacturing environment. As a Powder Coater, you will be responsible for applying powder coatings to various metal components, ensuring high-quality finishes. Based in Alfreton
Duties
- Prepare surfaces for powder coating by cleaning and masking as necessary.
- Operate powder coating equipment, ensuring proper application techniques are followed.
- Inspect finished products for quality assurance and adherence to specifications.
- Fabricate and assemble components as required prior to coating.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and quality standards.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and report any issues promptly.
What we are looking for –
- Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to fabrication and assembly tasks.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Experience in welding is advantageous but not essential.
- Basic maths skills for measuring and mixing materials accurately.
- Familiarity with painting techniques and processes is beneficial.
- Ability to work effectively in a manufcaturing setting, demonstrating good organisational skills.
