Your Role as a Primary Teaching Assistant
As a Primary TA, you’ll work closely with class teachers and inclusion staff to support pupils’ academic, emotional, and social development. Whether working with whole classes, small groups, or 1:1, your input will help build confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning.
Key Responsibilities Include:
* Supporting classroom teaching across core subjects (English, Maths, Phonics)
* Delivering small group interventions to close learning gaps
* Assisting with classroom preparation, routines, and displays
* Encouraging positive relationships and independence in pupils
* Supporting children with additional needs, including SEND and EAL
