Project Manager – Construction – Basildon
Freelance – 10 months work minimum
Start 6th January 2025
This main contractor is looking for a Project Manager to work on a very interesting construction project on a high-profile site in Essex.
The works comprise heavy demolition and refurbishment works, removal of an existing roof and raise by 5m, internal builder’s work packages and further refurbishment. All this takes please in a space that is half the size of a football pitch.
You will have a Site Manager reporting to you, who will be responsible for the day-to day site activities, sub-contractors and H&S etc. whilst your role as Project Manager will be managing the client, client’s project management representatives, programme, and flow of information to site.
This is a high-profile project within an occupied facility so needs a Site Manager and Project Manager who are able to diligently plan works, be excellent communicators and maintain a safe and tidy site at all times.
The Project Manager must come from a construction background (rather than fit-out), so must have good knowledge of demolition, heavy refurbishment, steel, concrete, foundations and structures etc.
