Property Manager

Abode Living are currently recruiting for a Property Manager to join their team based in Heaton, Newcastle upon Tyne on a temporary basis to cover maternity leave from March 2025, with a possibility of a full time permanent role following on from this

As a Property Manager you will be an integral part of the team, managing a portfolio of 250 properties around the Newcastle area. You must be compliant with all legal elements of letting and leasehold legislation.

The duties of the Property Manager will include:

Managing a portfolio of 250 properties, alongside 2 other property managers

Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety Regulations and Leasehold Legislation, ie Gas Certificates, EPC Certificates, HMO Licences.

. Dealing with new enquiries and carrying out viewings to assist the lettings department as and when required

Dealing with tenant repairs and addressing each repair in order of priority

Arranging and carrying out inventories, periodic inspections and checkouts

Registering deposits within the government scheme and dealing with deposits disputes if they arise at the end of each tenancy.

Assist tenants and landlords with any queries, within a timely manner

Liaising with contractors, in person, writing and by phone in order to make sure all repairs are addressed promptly on time and within budget.

Liaise with landlords and tenants for upcoming renewals of their tenancies.

The ideal Property Manager will have:

Property Management experience within an letting agency background, training will be given

Computer literacy including Microsoft Office and a good level of numeracy.

A good telephone manner, written, communication and organisational skills.

Ability to deal with contractors and tenants firmly and effectively under pressure.

A good knowledge of legal framework for property management.

. An excellent telephone manner

Full, clean driving license is required

Hours of work are 9:00am 5:00pm Monday to Friday, with the occasional weekend working
