What you’ll be doing as a Purchasing Assistant:
You’ll be at the heart of the purchasing team, helping to keep supply chains running smoothly and efficiently. From raising purchase orders and chasing vendors, to updating teams on pricing and tracking deliveries. your role as Purchasing Assistant will touch every part of the procurement process. You’ll support the stores team when needed, handle invoice queries, maintain supplier communication and update internal systems to make sure nothing slips through the cracks.

What you’ll need to succeed as a Purchasing Assistant:
Solid administration experience, ideally in a supply chain or procurement setting
Confidence using Excel and updating systems accurately
Great communication skills – both written and verbal
A proactive attitude – happy to chase suppliers and solve problems
Experience using SAP or an MRP system is desirable, but not essential You’ll be someone who’s eager to learn, happy to get stuck in, and not afraid of a fast pace who can learn in a temporary role that then becomes a permanent job and career.
