Job Title: Purchase Assistant

Location: West Malling, Kent

Salary: £30,000 per annum

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM 5:00 PM

Are you an organized and detail-oriented individual with a passion for procurement and purchasing? We are seeking a dedicated Purchase Assistant to join our dynamic team in West Malling. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced, friendly environment while supporting key business functions.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in managing the procurement process, including sourcing, purchasing, and negotiating with suppliers.

Monitor and maintain inventory levels to ensure timely supply of materials.

Process purchase orders and ensure accurate documentation.

Collaborate with the finance team to ensure timely payments and resolve discrepancies.

Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms.

Assist in managing contracts and service agreements.

Support the procurement manager in delivering cost-effective strategies and solutions.

Skills & Experience Required:

Experience in a purchasing or procurement role is preferred.

Strong organizational and communication skills.

Ability to work efficiently within a team and independently.

High level of attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
