Job Purpose
- Ensure food safety, quality, and legality of all products during production.
- Support the company’s due diligence and HACCP controls.
Responsibilities
- Conduct audits on raw materials, ingredients, and finished products.
- Oversee manufacturing processes to maintain compliance with food safety standards.
- Ensure product labelling is accurate and up to date.
- Assist in the implementation of new products or process changes.
- Maintain compliance with BRC/MSC standards, retailer codes of practice, and local authority requirements.
- Help sustain the Quality Management System to ensure factory compliance.
- Monitor hygiene standards and conduct hygiene audits.
Key Tasks
- Pre-operational hygiene audits Verify cleanliness before production begins.
- Scale verification Ensure weighing equipment is properly calibrated.
- Facility and product temperature checks Confirm storage and processing temperatures.
- Intake and dispatch control Oversee quality checks during goods receiving and shipping.
- Paperwork audits & traceability challenges Verify documentation accuracy.
- Document control Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Quality Records (QRs).
- Organoleptic taste panel & cooking tests Assess product quality through sensory analysis.
- Microbiological sample collection Submit data to labs and track test results.
- Quarterly water sampling Monitor water quality used in production.
- CCP verification Ensure Critical Control Points (CCPs) are correctly managed.
- GMP audits Evaluate Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) adherence.
- Glass & brittle plastic audits Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly inspections.
- Fabrication audits Assess the integrity of factory structures.
- Update KPI reports Track performance metrics.
Shift & Pay Details
- Schedule: 4 on / 4 off shift pattern.
- Hours: 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM.
- Pay Rate: £13.49 per hour.
