Glasgow Connect services are currently recruiting for part time Support Workers, across 5 of our services. We deliver 24 hour care to individuals in their own home who have a wide range of support needs. As a Support Worker you will be providing support with their personal care and encouraging them to achieve their own personal outcomes in all aspects of their daily lives, some these include; keeping them safe, taking part in activities & interests, community involvement, physical health, relationships, emotional health and wellbeing.
We plan with the people we support to help them to meet their outcomes and ensure they are involved in all aspects of their service. We work closely with the people we support, their families and other professionals to make sure that the service provided is appropriate and the best that we can give.
Working pattern will vary depending on which service you are assigned to. Typical shifts would include:
Early shifts (mornings), late shifts (afternoons/evenings), day shifts & sleepover shifts. Please note we manage shifts on a rotational basis where staff work a variety of shifts to meet the needs of the people we support and will include working weekends.
We have part time contracts working 15 to 30 hours per week available.

What you will need to bring to the role
- Compassion and kindness to support people in their day to day lives.
- Enthusiasm and self-motivation.
- Ability to apply transferable life experience and skills to support and enable individuals.
- Excellent problem solver who is driven by positive outcomes.
- Resilient, reliable and an excellent listener.
- Good IT & communication skills.
- A full manual UK driving license is required for this role
