Boarding House Matron – Cambridge
Nurse Seekers is delighted to be working with a well-regarded independent school currently seeking a caring, organised, and approachable Boarding House Matron to join their dedicated pastoral team.
This vital term-time only role focuses on supporting the day-to-day life and well-being of boarding students, ensuring they feel safe, nurtured, and supported while away from home. The Matron plays a key role in both student care and the smooth running of the boarding house.
Key responsibilities include:
· Providing consistent pastoral care and emotional support to students
· Administering basic health support and medication in line with policy
· Maintaining accurate records and liaising with parents and staff
· Supporting safeguarding protocols and acting as a trusted adult figure
· Assisting with domestic routines, cleanliness, and presentation of the House
The ideal candidate will:
· Have experience working with young people in a pastoral or healthcare setting
· Hold or be willing to gain a First Aid qualification
· Demonstrate strong organisation, empathy, and communication skills
· Be committed to safeguarding and supporting adolescent well-being
