We’re looking for a Retail Team Member to welcome visitors to the National Trust shop at Powis Castle and Gardens, to answer their questions and help them make the most of their day.

Salary: £8,970 a year/ £11.50 an hour

Duration: Fixed Term Contract for12 months

Hours: 15 hours per week. Usually this will mean two days a week though some flexibility is required for our busy months meaning there will be some weeks you will be working three days. Most shifts will be 7.5 hours long though some will be 5 hours. Weekend and Bank Holiday working will be required though these are shared equally between the team.

What you’ll be doing

As a member of the retail team, you’ll be offering visitors help and advice with their shopping. You’ll have high standards of presentation in the shop while providing excellent service to all customers.

You’ll also be able to talk to them about how everything they buy helps to fund the work of the National Trust. Other duties may include arranging, receiving and unpacking deliveries, creating shop displays and working with others in the team to keep the shop floor clean and organised.
