MEM Northampton is recruiting a Road Tester to join our team(s) based in Corby, Northamptonshire.
Main Duties
- Completing a short road test on the vehicle to identify any major issues (including excessive noise or rattling engine noises)
- Carry out vehicle QC inspection following a set of company procedures (checking oil, fluids, warning lights, visual under bonnet and wheel nuts check)
- Undertake road and ramp testing and inspection
- Plan and organise time effectively to ensure all tasks are completed within set deadlines, achieving efficiency
- Assist with general workshop tasks as and when required
- Ensure all the relevant documentation is accurately completed and all company procedures are followed
Personal Requirements
- City and Guilds or NVQ Level 1 Light Vehicle Maintenance (equivalent accepted) or work history in a similar mechanical role (essential)
- Full UK Driving Licence held for a minimum of 2 years. You also need to be over 21 years old for the purpose of our insurance (essential)
- Confident to drive both manual and automatic cars (essential)
- You will be passionate about working within the motor industry and take pride in your work, to the highest standards of work set by customers
- You will need to work independently on vehicles and have experience in making decisions when required
- Excellent attention to detail
Shift Pattern
- 4 shifts on, 4 shifts off
- 06:00 am to 6:00 pm
Salary
- £12.50 Per Hour
Job Types: Full-time, Temp to perm
