Verve People are hiring a team of School Cooks for the Wirral and Chester area. This shifts will be temporary/ad-hoc for the needs of our clients, so locations and days will vary.
These roles will be ideal for someone who has worked in a school environment before, and looking for flexible working.
Key Responsibilities:
*Prepare and cook fresh, healthy meals in line with school meal guidelines.
*Plan and adapt menus to accommodate dietary requirements and allergies.
*Maintain high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
*Work closely with kitchen assistants and school staff to ensure smooth meal service.
*Adhere to all food safety regulations, including temperature checks and allergen controls.
Requirements:
*Previous experience in a school kitchen environment
*An Enhanced DBS (either on the Update Service or dated within the last 12 months)
*Knowledge of dietary requirement, allergens and portion control
