Your Role as a Science Teaching Assistant

As a Science TA, you’ll support students across KS3, KS4, and potentially KS5, working closely with specialist teachers to deepen learners’ understanding and confidence in scientific enquiry and practical skills.

Key Responsibilities Include:

* Delivering small group and 1:1 academic support in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics

* Helping students prepare for practical’s and science assessments

* Supporting teachers with resource preparation and classroom management

* Encouraging scientific curiosity and supporting STEM enrichment activities

* Collaborating on lesson planning and tracking student progress

* A graduate in a science discipline (2:1 or above preferred), ideally from a Russell Group University
