Here at Long-Term Teachers, I have partnered with a Primary School in the BS4 area of Bristol who are currently seeking a SEMH Learning Mentor.
This Primary School is a large 2 form entry school, who have a number of students from a range of backgrounds. The staff members aim to support the pupils and their families with all in-school and outside difficulties.
With a high need of support in the school, the staff are very supportive of each other and always look out for one another.
The Role
This position is to start from January until July.
You will be expected to support a number of students in the school with more complex social, emotional and behavioural needs.
You can be working across all age groups from EYFS to Year 6.
You will be working closely with vulnerable students to regulate their emotions and model appropriate interactions.
You will be expected to:

Strong positive behaviour management strategies.

Work collaboratively with the school SENDO to understand each pupils’ needs.

Have previous experience working with challenging behaviour or SEMH.

Ability to use your own initiative and to be flexible.

Ability to form strong relationships.
