PP Associates are recruiting on behalf of a large 3 form entry primary school based in Widnes.

The school are seeking a qualified early years teaching assistant to support SEND children in EYFS

About the role

As part of the EYFS team you will be responsible for helping to create a safe, educational and fun environment for the children in EYFS. You will provide vital support for children who present a range of SEND, helping them thrive in a supportive and structured environment.

You will need to hold a recognised teaching assistant qualification (Level 2 or above)

You will need to have experience of SEND and working 1:1 with children in EYFS.

Team Teach training will be beneficial, but not essential as training is provided.

You will need to hold an enhanced DBS on the update service, or be happy to undertake the processing of one for this role.

The right person will understand that some days might be challenging, but youll also laugh, have fun and make lasting memories with the children at one of the most important development stages of their life. Patience, empathy and resilience are vital for this role.

Duties will include;

Helping to supervise children and ensuring their safety

Organising and taking part in activities, such as games, crafts, and educational tasks.

Supporting children that present a range of SEND and additional needs. Experience of working with children with ADHD, ASD, behavioural challenges, speech and language delays and toileting issues would be beneficial.

Working as part of a larger team, including the teacher to plan and deliver activities and supporting the children with routines, transitions and behaviour management.

The hours are Monday-Friday 8.15-3.45

Salary: £12.50 per hour

Term time only

Immediate start-Until July 2025.
