Quokka Education is proud to be supporting an Outstanding day and residential special school for boys aged 10–16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, including ADHD, Autism, and challenging behaviour.
We’re looking for a compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join their dedicated team, to start in September on a full-time basis.
About the Role:
* Work closely with the class teacher to support learning and behavioural development
* Engage pupils in small groups or 1:1 to support individual needs
* Encourage pupils to build self-esteem, resilience, and confidence
* Help deliver creative, structured lessons that are both supportive and challenging
* Monitor and record pupil progress in collaboration with teaching staff

* Backgrounds in support work, education, sports, or psychology are welcomed
* Excellent communication, patience, and empathy
* Able to adapt strategies to meet pupils’ varied needs

Role Details:
* Location: Eastleigh
* Start Date: September 2025
* Contract Type: Temp-to-Perm (12 weeks)
* Hours: 8:40am – 3:10pm – Monday – Friday term time only
* Salary – Actual Salary (Term Time Only): Approximately £17,400 – £18,000
