Position: SEN Learning Support Assistant
Hours: Full-time, Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm
Salary: £85 – £90 per day, based on experience
Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Learning Support Assistant to join our team in Plymouth. This role offers a unique opportunity to work both within classroom settings and in outreach, supporting students in a variety of learning environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored support to students with a range of SEN needs, fostering their academic and social development.
Work closely with teaching staff to deliver individualized learning plans, adapting teaching methods and resources as needed.
Engage in one-on-one and group activities, promoting inclusivity and encouraging student engagement and independence.
Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress.
Actively contribute to a safe and positive learning environment, addressing any specific behavioral, emotional, or physical needs.
Participate in outreach work, supporting students outside the classroom in community or home settings, as required.
Requirements:
Experience: Previous experience working with children with SEN in an educational or similar setting is highly desirable.
Skills: Strong communication, empathy, and patience, with the ability to adapt to each child’s individual needs.
Availability: Must be available full-time, Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.
Location: Must be able to work in the Plymouth area.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
