Are you a calm, patient, and resilient individual with a passion for supporting children with special educational needs? Tradewind is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive Primary School in Bromley, currently rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted, for a Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join their team after the May Half-Term break.
About the Role:
Position: Special Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA)
Year Group: Year 2
Start Date: After May Half-Term
Duration: Until the end of the academic year, with the potential to continue
Hours: Full-time (term time only)
You will be providing 1:1 support to a child in Year 2 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), helping them access the curriculum and fully engage in school life. This is a highly rewarding role that requires a nurturing and supportive approach, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build strong, trusting relationships.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience working with children with ASD or other additional needs (desirable but not essential)
A calm, consistent and resilient approach to behaviour and learning support
Ability to work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual support strategies
A genuine passion for making a difference in children’s lives
