About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant school community in Newham. In this role, you will collaborate closely with passionate educators to support our amazing students, ensuring they receive the best possible educational experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Focused Assistance: Provide focused assistance to students with SEMH needs, including ADHD and potential self-harming behaviors.
Support Across Key Stages: Assist students across Key Stages 1 and 2, adapting to their various educational needs.
Nappy Changing Experience: Must have nappy changing experience to meet the needs of all our students.
Inclusive Learning: Utilize your expertise to create an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere.
Collaborative Efforts: Work closely with teachers and the SENCO to implement tailored support plans and interventions.
Positive Relationships: Build positive relationships with students, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.

SEN Teaching Assistant Requirements:

Experience: Previous experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
Expertise: Strong understanding of SEN, safeguarding, and child protection practices.
Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently.
Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
Qualifications: Relevant qualifications and/or training in education, SEN, or child development are desirable.
