About the Role:
Prospero Teaching is seeking a highly skilled and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Crosby, Liverpool. This long-term role starting in January 2025 offers a fantastic opportunity for an accomplished professional to make a real difference in the lives of children with special educational needs (SEN).

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

Provide 1:1 and group support to pupils with a range of SEN needs, including autism, ADHD, and social, emotional, and mental health challenges.
Work closely with teachers and other professionals to implement tailored strategies that support each child’s learning and development.
Assist in delivering individualised education plans (IEPs), adapting teaching methods to suit pupils needs.
Create a nurturing and structured environment to help children thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Build trusting relationships with pupils, parents, and staff to foster collaboration and progress.

What Were Looking For:
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with SEN children and the qualifications to match. You should have:

A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
Significant experience working with SEN pupils in a school or similar setting.
A deep understanding of various SEN conditions and best practices for supporting them.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, along with a patient and empathetic approach.
A proactive and resilient attitude, with a passion for helping children reach their full potential.

Eligibility Requirements:

Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
Have an enhanced DBS certificate on the online update service (or be willing to apply for one).
Provide two professional references, preferably related to SEN work.
Hold up-to-date Safeguarding training (desirable but not essential, as training is provided).
